The speakers agree that AGI is not as serious a problem in the short term. A much bigger problem is the societal dysfunction enabled by the weaponization of ChatGPT-like technologies in the hands of those who would deliberately spread misinformation.

Marcus repeats the Standard Progressive Talking Points about Trump, COVID, etc.

My criticism remains: why do you feel immune from this problem? The speakers talk as though misinformation is a problem for other people and that “we the experts” must prevent the unwashed plebeians from their own stupidity.
